THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

The Mission Statement

The Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, located at 541 Pitts Street, is close to downtown Auburn and Auburn University. The Church is affiliated with the Auburn District of the National Baptist Convention USA, Incorporated.

The primary mission of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church is to teach and preach the word of God and to bring people to a closer relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This church is also concerned with helping its members and friends build Christian homes that reflect the love of Christ. A further mission of Ebenezer is to encourage its members and friends to financially support the work of the Lord through tithes and offerings. The church seek to further the Kingdom of God on earth by having a Christian influence in the community, the nation and the world.

MISSION IMPLEMENTATION

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church will accomplish its mission through the following areas:

  • Baptist Training Union – A weekly training for individuals on how to live the Christian life and have a meaningful influence in the world.
  • Bible Study – A weekly study of the Sunday School lesson and a systematic study of the Bible. Instruction is provided for each age group.
  • Mission Projects – Members and auxiliaries support needy people, institutions or causes through the church community. Support is provided through material, physical and spiritual means. Classes are provided for each age group.
  • Sunday School– A weekly teaching of scripture principles for a better understanding of the Word of God.
  • Worship Service – A weekly gathering of members and friends to offer up praise and thanksgiving to God through the giving of ourselves and material blessings.
